Young can also receive an additional $1 million in bonuses based on his playing time. Huddle Up: Young will compete with Tyler Thigpen for the right to back up Ryan Fitzpatrick in Buffalo. Chan Gaily has a track record with mobile quarterbacks (like Thigpen), but Young isn't expected to threaten Fitzpatrick's starting gig.Collapse -

Not coincidentally, Bills defensive end Mario Williams posted a welcome message on Twitter to Young: "Congrats to @VinceYoung glad to have you!" Young had a tryout with the Bills last week and apparently impressed them enough to sign him.

Quarterback Vince Young has agreed to a one-year, $2 million contract with the Buffalo Bills, league sources told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen. Young can earn another $1 million in incentives, sources said. He is expected to join the team Monday. Young worked out for the Bills at the beginning of the month. (ESPN)
FF Today's Take: Young's fantasy value is minimal. He will compete with Tyler Thigpen for the backup QB position behind Ryan Fitzpatrick.Collapse -

Young threw to four Bills receivers including David Nelson, who described Young as looking in great shape. "Big guy. Physical and aggressive," Nelson said. "He's in shape. He's definitely in shape working out and working hard."

Buffalo Bills receiver David Nelson described free agent quarterback Vince Young as looking in great shape during his workout for the team on Wednesday. Nelson was one of four Bills receivers to run routes and catch passes during the quarterback's session, and was impressed by Young's appearance and ability. ''He looked good,'' Nelson said, after honoring a teacher and hosting a discussion at Orchard Park High School. ''Big guy. Physical and aggressive. He's in shape. He's definitely in shape working out and working hard.'' (Yahoo Sports)
FF Today's Take: A deal to play in Buffalo this season is not imminent, and Young will likely work out for a few more teams. No matter where he ends up he is likely to be a backup, and as a result should go undrafted in all formats this season.Collapse -

Vince Young wants to be a Texan. And he will tell anyone who listens. On Thursday, he repeated his desire to play for the Texans on KILT radio here in Houston. "I would love to play at home," the former Madison and UT star quarterback said. "That would be a dream come true and anything I can do to help out with the team." "All I can do is just stay ready, keep working out and training in Houston and waiting for that opportunity to come." Young currently is a free agent. (Houston Chronicle)
FF Today's Take: Don't hold your breath on this one. The Texans appear happy with Pro Bowl quarterback and 2009 passing yards leader Matt Schaub under center, and with TJ Yates backing him up.Collapse -

'I would love to play at home. That would be a dream come true and anything I can do to help out with the team,' Young said. However, Young added he 'definitely' sees himself as a starter in the league and would be happy to compete for a job. Huddle Up: In his last start for the Eagles Young threw four interceptions and they lost to the Seattle Seahawks 31-14, falling to 4-8 and out of the playoff hunt. Maybe if Vince signs with the Texans he can move in with his biggest fan, Titans owner Bud Adams, who lives in Houston.Collapse -
These link to the industry's best IRs. These are the sites that Stegman goes to, in order, if/when he's obsessing about data on the status of an injury.
Rotoworld IR (most up to date – the Cadillac of NFL injury reports)
Vince was hit by a car as he rode a bike in his neighborhood when he was six years old. The handle bars from the bicycle were impaled into his stomach. He spent the better part of a year recuperating, and credits this life experience with what makes him physically tough. Now all he needs is a life lesson to teach him how to be mentally tough, and he's good to go... Because last year's little AWOL episode was just ludicrous - or is it ludacris:
(This song came out well after Vince was hit by that car back. And Ludacris wasn't even old enough to drive in 1989, anyway)
Who disappears after a little injury and a couple of boos from your hometown fans due to poor play?
Vince played poorly out of the gates in '08 before spraining a MCL during week one. After his 2nd INT, fans started to boo poor widdle Vince. After Vince came out of the game, apparently head coach Jeff Fisher gave Vince a little tough love and prodded him back into the game despite his injury. The Titans won the game, but Vince's feelings were hurt.
Two days after the game, Young left his home without his cell phone and was nowhere to be found. The story sort of grew in directions after that. It was rumored that while he forgot his cell phone, he didn't forget his gun and that his therapist told Fisher that Young had mentioned suicide (isn't it illegal for therapists to share patient's disclosures to anyone except ordered by a court?). Everyone was freaking out. Coach Jeff Fisher called the Nashville police, who ended up finding him after a four-hour search.
Apparently, Vince was unhappy that Fisher goaded him back into the game despite his injury. Add the pressure from being booed and playing like shit, and it ended up being more than he could handle - so he decided to runaway. We did that, too, a few times... when we were 14.
"I was to the point where man, I didn't really want to play no more because of the fact that I was that hurt," Young said. "I was that hurt from the boos and all the different things that were going on. It was just so much for me - I didn't want to play no more." - Vince Young to ESPN in June 2009
2009 Fantasy Outlook
Things aren't looking to sweet for Vince in ‘09. Kerry Collins, who has been around longer than Cloris Leachman, was named the starting QB and practically had that stipulation etched into his contract. Tennessee also brought in Patrick Ramsey; not that that should worry Vince. Fisher has been quoted as saying that if Vince wants to be a starting QB again, he's going to have to earn his way back onto the field. It's worth mention that Fisher never wanted to draft Vince Young in the first place, but Titans owner Bud Adams over-rode him.
If Vince wins the job before your draft, take a late round flier on him and hope that he pulls his head out of his ass. If he hasn't won the job by your draft (and he won't), VY is no more than waiver-wire fodder should Collins go down.
Drafted:
2006 - Rd 1st (3rd overall) by the Tennessee Titans

About us
FFArmory.com: Your Fantasy Football Ally!
We do two things:
1) Provide our own original content/analysis based on years of winning fantasy football leagues.
2) Aggregate the best sources of FF-related news/stats/information on the web and centralize this data at the player and team page level on our site.
Tenny Stegman (owner/founder) has been winning fantasy football leagues for over 12 years. He’s a self-professed know-it-all. Impressed? Nor was the rest of his staff, hence item #2.
The web has become one big quasi-annoying cluster @#$%. Anyone can start a google searchable blog and pretty much already has (including yours truly!).
The goal with FFArmory.com is to create one place that you can not only soak in Stegman’s genius fantasy mind (heh heh), but also find the most critical & relevant fantasy football data from sources all over the web.
We’re in this together. We encourage our users to participate as well. Are we missing a good resource? Let us know by either email, or making a permanent comment w/in the player or team profile (or anywhere on the site). With your help, we can turn FFA into the only destination required to dominate fantasy football leagues!
