Free-agent WR Plaxico Burress (Jets) said he would be interested in signing with the Oakland Raiders. Huddle Up: He also mentioned the Browns. Burress is almost 35 but has relatively lower mileage after his stint in prison. He can still make plays in the red zone as evidenced by his three-TD game against the Chargers (3, 3, 4 yards).

New York Jets impending free-agent WR Plaxico Burress said the New York Giants were interested in signing him last offseason. Huddle Up: He said he rejected the Giants' offer to play for the Jets. Now Burress is about to hit the free-agent market and told Dan Patrick he's got plenty left in the tank at age 34. "Going into this year, I'm going to be a lot stronger and getting back to doing some of the things I know I can do," Burress said. He added that the Eagles would be at the top of his list. "It would be a beautiful place to play, no doubt about it. With all the players that they already have in place, I just see myself going to where I could help that team win a championship."

Towering WR hopes to take his talents to Philly
Plaxico Burress says the Jets want him back, but the veteran receiver has his eyes on a team farther south on I-95. In an interview with a Philadelphia radio station, Burress made it clear he would love to play for the Eagles. "Nothing else would make me happier," Burress told 97.5 The Fanatic. "Obviously, coming to Philadelphia and instituting myself to the offense it just adds a unique dynamic to what's already in place." Burress is a free agent after playing last season with the Jets, who gave him a one-year, $3.017 million deal after his release from prison.
(New York Post)
FF Today's Take: Six-foot-five Plaxico Burress would certainly add some height to the Eagles' receiving corps, but they are currently well-stocked at the position. That said, it is looking more and more like the 34-year-old will not be returning to the New York Jets next season.

New York Jets WR Plaxico Burress, who is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent March 13, reportedly wants to join the Philadelphia Eagles in 2012. "Saw and talked to Plaxico Burress at the Super Bowl and he told me he wants to play for the Eagles. Badly!," Howard Eskin posted on his official Twitter account. Huddle Up: Plax still has some game left, and the Eagles could use a receiver with size to add to their mix. Toss in the added bonuses of tweaking his former Giants teammates twice a season as well as his other former team in Pennsylvania and working with fellow former prisoner Michael Vick and Plax to the Eagles actually makes a ton of sense.
