Average Draft Position - by Tenny Stegman
ADP tools are important to have on you on draft night. They basically aggregate info on mock and real drafts throughout the NFL pre-season/off-season, and calculate an average draft position of each player.
When I'm torn between two guys during the draft - which is every round (more or less), I will refer to a few different ADPs and take the guy being drafted earlier if it's a true deadlock. There is nothing like agonizing between two guys and then landing them both in consecutive rounds! Usually starts happening for me in the 4th round or so.
KFFL, FFToolbox, and FF Calculator provide data on mocks as well as actual drafts. ESPN, despite having this amazing mock draft lobby, only provides data on their real live draft results in theirs - but their real drafts start early, and will be available at some point by mid-july. And you can assume their data will be from a much larger cross-section of fantasy ballers.
