QB still unsure but teammates are raving about rookie
Ryan Tannehill has turned heads in South Beach. Veteran quarterback David Garrard claims he's never seen a young quarterback pick up the playbook so quickly - faster than some of his elders - and center Mike Pouncey believes the Dolphins have found "a very mature rookie." Draft experts pegged Tannehill as a quarterback that needed a year to sit and absorb the pro game, but we imagine he'll be thrust into the lineup sooner than later. He isn't sure when he'll start. "I don't know," Tannehill told ESPN Radio, via ProFootballTalk.com. "They haven't told me anything. I'm just going to go in and compete." (NFL.com)
FF Today's Take: Having played mostly wide receiver in college, it would be a bit of a shocker to see Tannehill handed the starting reins to open the 2012 season. A dual threat to pick up yards through the air and on the ground, Tannehill has the potential to be a fantasy stud at some point down the road.

Cardinals RB might not be ready for OTAs
Five months removed from a second surgery on his right knee in 16 months, Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells is focusing on being ready for training camp and is not sure if he'll be on the practice field when the team begins its OTAs on Tuesday. "I am hopeful, but it's offseason stuff," Wells told Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com. "Being ready for training camp is the most important thing." A 2009 first-round pick, Wells is coming off his most productive season, starting 14 of 15 games and rushing for 1,047 yards and 10 touchdowns while playing in over 55 percent of the Cardinals offensive snaps. (NFL.com)
FF Today's Take: Wells frustrated fantasy owners with inconsistency in 2011, posting three of his best fantasy performances in his first three games before disappearing for stretches over the remainder of the season. The 23-year-old is a punishing running back though and if healthy in 2012, he could post career numbers in rushing yards and touchdowns.

Former Pro Bowl TE continues to test free agent waters
Free-agent tight end Dallas Clark visited the New England Patriots on Tuesday, according to a league source. Clark, 32, has played nine seasons in the NFL, all with the Indianapolis Colts. He was released by the Colts on March 7. Originally the 24th pick in the 2003 NFL draft, Clark has 427 catches for 4,887 yards and 46 touchdowns in his career, including a career-best 100 receptions for 1,106 yards in 2009. (ESPN)
FF Today's Take: Due to a hard-nosed style of play and the slew of injuries that mounted as a result, Clark has been reduced to a fraction of his old self. His days as a reliable fantasy contributor appear to be a distant memory.

Harbaugh said @KingCrab15 has the best hands he's ever seen. (Twitter)
FF Today's Take: Michael Crabtree has slowly but steadily improved his receiving totals each NFL season. The three-year pro could make the jump to one of the top tiers of fantasy receivers in 2012. He hauled in three touchdown passes and averaged 73 receiving yards per game over his final five games last season.

The Cardinals official team website reports that running back Beanie Wells said he is coming along after his offseason knee surgery. Im rehabbing, just trying to get back, Wells said. He said he doesnt know his timetable for his return to the field. Wells has been at the facility, and on days where the veterans have gone out as an offense to work on passing routes, Wells has joined them outside even though he cant take part. His ability to take part in organized team activities and/or minicamp is to be announced. I am hopeful, but its offseason stuff, Wells said. Being ready for training camp is the most important thing.
